What a busy first 2 weeks of school! We have made new friends, watched a solar eclipse, and had our first test! We have reviewed and had a test on our kindergarten high frequency words, and are continuing to review all our letters and sounds.
Tonight your child will bring home their R.E.D. (Read Every Day) folder. Please help them complete the fluency homework in the front and read over the non-sense words this week. Please return the folder and homework on Thursday.
We are reading a wonderful story titled Ira Sleeps Over. In the story, Ira is afraid his friend will make fun of him for taking his teddy bear to sleep with at his friends house. Ask your child what happens in the story. The kids just love it! We will have B.Y.O.T. day this Friday! Bring Your Own Teddy and we will wear our PAJAMAS!!!! If you don't have a teddy bear, you can bring any stuffed animal that fits in your backpack!
